morning ladies
i'm visiting my SIL at the hospital today - she had an emergency c-section yesterday but baby, mom & dad are doing well today. in the past, i've brought cupcakes or other treats, but she's diabetic. any suggestions of what little pressie to bring in? or am i better to wait until they're back home to bring any presents?

You could give her a little manicure while you chat and then her nails will look elegant in all her photos!

Flowers? cant really go wrong with them

belgo · 12/06/2010 10:49

Flowers might not be allowed on the hospital ward.

Take some lovely oils and creams and give her a hand & foot massage with manicure & pedicure (if you have all that time!) anything to feel lovely again!

great ideas - i'll see if boots has a small foot/hand cream duo. not too big for her to carry home.

i have been giving her daily foot rubs - unfortunately none helped get her into labour!

Really? I had flowers when i was in (9wks ago) must depend on ward I suppose

belgo · 12/06/2010 14:35

flowers when she gets home from hospital will be lovely, but if she's on a manky nhs ward, flowers just get in the way and are banned on some wards. And die quickly in the hot, airless conditions.

IMO.
