...then what made the sonographer think the baby was male?
I know gender scans aren't 100% accurate, and I can understand how tiny boy bits might be missed in a scan leading to someone thinking they are having a girl when in fact it's a boy.
But how can they make the mistake the other way round? The sonographer must have seen something on the baby to make them think that it is male. Would this be because that area isn't fully formed at the time of the scan? Poor quality images? Some sort of swelling that is absorbed back into the body ?
Anybody had this happen? Anybody know why?
