37 weeks isn't early really Is it, it's classed as term.

My first came at 38+3, so not properly early but still a bit early. Second came at 40+4 which felt very late to me.

My friend had her 1st baby 3 weeks early and her 2nd was almost 3 wks late. She was so convinced he would come early that having to wait 3 weeks beyond the due date was a real trial for her - don't expect her/him early and then you won't feel like you're waiting forever if labour comes late

Hi, had my first at 37+2, after waters broke. Currently 40+2, with 2nd, waiting, and waiting, it has felt like I was overdue eversince I got past 37 weeks. Had loads of braxtons too. It's a weird science, it'll just come when it's ready. I know how you feel though, I totally hoped one early meant another would be too, but not so

First was 36 weeks, second 39.5, third 42 weeks (and induced). For the fourth, I have no expectations at all, other than he/she will come when ready! FWIW, my 42 week baby was much easier to look after than my 36 week baby. Just more ready to survive, feed, sleep etc. (Actually, she still is).

There is no real evidence for this and as a previous poster said, 37 weeks is classed as full term so no need to be concerned about that. Could you have a water infection? Is it worth getting the GP to send a sample of to see if you need antibiotics? Acupuncture works well for heartburn ime, but having the baby works wonders! Good luck.

DD1 arrived at 32 weeks and DD2 stayed in until 35 weeks. There was no reason for either to come early and we were sure that the first was just one of those things so were not ready the second time around! In fact, we believed all the people telling us that the second would come late and had not even packed a bag!

Your DC will arrive when ready - I just wanted to say that, if you do deliver very soon then medically having made it to 32 weeks makes a big difference for the baby - DD1 is absolutely perfect despite a terrible prognosis following big brain bleed in her first week.
Good luck.

DD was born at 36 weeks and DS at 34+4. Both absolutely fine. I don't think there is any reason to think this one will come early but I made sure I was more prepared this time with a bg packed etc as DD's birth was all a bit of a shock. Good luck!
