What was the best bit about giving birth?

Let's have a little balance for all the nervous new mums here, myself included. Obviously, meeting your new baby is the most fantastic thing about giving birth, but what else was good?

The whole thing. Exciting, awesome and amazing - knowing that each minute going past is a minute closer to meeting the new person inside of you.

And sharing it all with DH, and saying right afterwards "Let's do it again!" (much to DH's shock)

And seeing ds in the morning and thinking "what a miracle. He is really here at last"

The spinal block

might sound strange, but the release of pent up feelings while i screamed him out! (no pain meds because i dilated too quickly!)
counting his fingers and toes while he was on my tummy, and crying a lot.
and watching him sleep next to my bed that night.....
