Here's my list, have I missed any? (NB - NONE worked last 3 times - but you gotta love a trier!)

hot curry
sex
solo sex (releases endorphins)
oral sex (prostaglandins taken orally)
raspberry leaf tea
homeopathy remedies (cimifuga and caullophyllum)
reflexology
castor oil (gives you hideous cramps and squits)
Acupuncture
Skipping(with a rope)
car journey over bumps
trampoline
fresh pineapple (to ripen cervix)
clary sage oil ( in bath or rub wtih oil into bump)
oil of evening primrose capsules

Clary sage oil worked for me, sorry you're not having any luck. It's just so nice inside you they don't want to come out into this cold weather

Pingpong · 27/01/2010 20:27

nipple tweaking?
ankle rub focusing on ankle bone and achilles tendon.

Gmakes3 · 27/01/2010 20:32

Curry, hotter the better
Raspberry leaf
Walking up and down stairs sideways on
Bouncing on birthing ball
Maybe I was just ready but worked for me, 1 week early

flyingcloud · 27/01/2010 20:52

I'm printing this list out...

How the hell did you manage to skip?!

ShiriDoula · 28/01/2010 01:11

acupressure??

and BTW- raspberry leaf tea DOES NOT induce labour- it only makes contractions stronger and more efficient- and so women should drink it from around 36 weeks of pregnancy in increasing dosages up until the labour is due (and so when ctx come they are powerful and "good" ones)

LittlePushka · 28/01/2010 01:22

DS1 = one hour swim then two mile walk

DS2 = four mile bike ride up hill and down dale

Both born within 24hrs,
both labours quite quick i think < 6 hours,
both natural births

(Drank rasberry leaf tea for England from 36 weeks - contractions were bearable )

|Good luck

I'm on the full offensive now. Last night I did loads of jumping -no skipping ropes and up and down the stairs sideways. And some nip tweaking. result was 1 hour of not very sore contractions, every 4-3 mins for over an hour. Then I went to bed to get some rest and that was the end of tHAT! Today I have hadd a full pineapple, curry tonight and see what else on the list I can muster - maybe a march up and down the hills around us....

The skipping -you really would not like to see that!!

Yes, the Raspberry leaf tea gives good contractions (I was quick when I finally kicked in - even through induced all the last times!)

I am totally starving all the time - maybe the baby has dropped and giving my stomach more space???

I was overdue and induced last time and I was thinking that this time (my 4th) I might visit a medical herbalist to see if they have anything that might effece my cervix a bit. It is always unfavourable for sweeps.

Maybe you are hungry because your body is demanding more energy as it gears up? Think positive - that's what it is!

yesterday i made this: www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/pineapplecurry_92030.shtml
it is yummy but it hasn't worked yet.

wasabipeanut · 28/01/2010 13:16

I started taking evening primrose oil at 38 weeks both orally and more directly at bedtime. Was also drinking RLT regularly.

DD born on Sunday at 38+6. Will never know if the EPO contributed or it would have happened anyway but it was a pretty quick labour.

PotPourri · 28/01/2010 15:47

Oh, might try the EPO not orally then.

Flybynight - oh I hope so!!!
