Air conditioning for labour?

Hi, first blogger, and first time mum-to-be!
Was wondering if anyone has given birth in Kensington wing in summer. Seems some of the other private London hospitals have air conditioning but Kensington wing does not. Am due in July and worried it will be hot, one of the midwives made a comment about it getting stuffy if you have one of the atrium facing rooms.
thanks!

Hi pupbb10 - I have not got experience of any London hospitals, but I think that most labour and postnatal wards are kept very warm, because most women end up naked at some point during labour, and also to help prevent the babies getting too cold when they are born.

I know that I gave birth in October, and in early labour during the night, the house was cold, and being cold was awful as I kept shivering which made my body tense and the contractions worse. So I would think that being too hot is better than being too cold, but I am not sure
