I had dc2 3 months ago no stitches required. But anyhow this is the problem every time I try to have a poo the front wall of my vagina seems to collapse and my cervix drops down to the entrance this is starting to make me ill as I find it v difficult to empty my bowels.

This is making sex v uncomfortable and painful I saw a doctor and he said 'everything was normal after just having had a baby and vb always damages the area, either you end up with nasty tears or you stretch beyond endurance and it never goes back again'.

But I didn't have this after ds so what I am asking is have any of you ladies experienced this and if so is there any way to make it better I have seen 6 different health professionals and been referred all through the system all of them said something is wrong but they didn't know what was eventually referred to the senior obestrician I think who said the above comment and discharged me. This is really depressing me now I am currently doing 120 pelvic floors but nothing is helping, any advice.

out* not put

by the way..disgusted at the doctors comments..so basically he is saying that once youve given birth you should except that you may end up ferrying your pelvic floor around in a wheelbarrow

memory the doctor also said this is why he preferred c-sections as they apparently do less damage he was v condescending and tried to at first talk me out of anything being wrong without examining me until I told him that I had been referred for a reason. I kinda pity him as he obviously felt extremely uncomfortable examining someones ladybits yet probably has to do it regularly.

hmm..you definitely need to see a different doctor..was this the gynae consultant or your gp?

slushy06 · 24/10/2009 20:28

My gp is lovely the idiot doctor was not a gynae consultant as gynae kept saying I had to see a pg consultant because I have just had a baby they said they are not insured to examine me so they referred me to obstetrician who said the offensive remarks.

Slushy thats bizarre! its not an obstetric matter..its a gynae matter..go back to your GP and ask to see a different gynae consultant

slushy i only had my dd 7 weeks ago so nothing has been dnoe yet, been told to do pelvic floors, no prolonged standing/walking and avoid heavy lifting (including my 3.5year old ds)

have my 6-8 week check in just over a week so im wondering if they are gonna even look at it. is nowhere near as bad and tbh it isnt poking out anymore but if i have a poke i can feel it.

even if they offer surgery they say to wait til u have finished having children and as im only 22 im in no rush for the surgery. Do u get a throbbing in your lower back? thats another sign of a cystocele. I get it after doing all the things im not allowed!

im in no rush for the surgery even if its offered cos at 22 i dont know weather i have finished having children or not, dont like the prospect of it being like it was after i had dd though if i have more kids.

The only time i feel major pressure atm is when im on the toilet. im thinking its nowhere near as bad now...pelvic floors are defo the way forward haha!

I have had alot of back pain I also don't want surgery as I am 21 and I don't know yet if I am happy to stick with two or if I want a third so I guess that puts surgery out.

Funnily it was not as bad when I first gave birth then I went and lugged the shopping up a big hill even though I was told not too .

When will I learn that if you rush recovery it will only take longer.
