My bf has given birth recently and suffered from a labia laceration - she is very uncomfortable and had no stiches - has anyone else suffered with this - I've had four children myself and have never even read about it in the usual pregnancy/birth magazines!

My sister recently had surgery to repair a labial laceration (the 'unhealed' area was removed). It should have been stitched following the birth of her DD, two years ago.

Sex was painful for her and knickers/sanitary pads/jeans were all extremely uncomfortable as they would catch.

So, if anyone does have on going problems, it is worth getting it checked out. It was a short and quick op, she recovered quickly and is comfortable again now.

your poor friend CF ... sounds truly horrendous!
I know I shouldn't say this but these sorts of stories are more reasons for me to be pleased that I had C/Ss .... although I tried hard not to (she adds hastily )
