Couldn't hear the music myself, but it was just lovely to watch the pics. My fav bit was seeing the little baby out (bless). Far too many people there though. Considering the racket I made at DDs birth and all the non-glamorous things that happen, I think the midwives and DH is my limit on who can I would want to see the proceedings!

was waiting for:

7.10
epidural fitted
7.30
dad goes to pub with mobile phone

hotmama · 16/05/2005 09:18

I got all choked up - so that is how birth is supposed to be - bears naff all resemblance to the carnage I went through - it is supposed to get better?

How interested were the kids - thought that was really nice.

LOL Lockets - my reaction exactly - nice kitchen.

Feel all warm nice - you forget how little they are. (warm icon)

WideWebWitch · 16/05/2005 09:27

JoolsToo · 16/05/2005 09:29

"Do you realise
That everyone you know someday will die?"

That was lovely

bobbybob · 16/05/2005 09:52

Did they have a professional photographer there? It looked like a wedding album after the first couple of dark shots.

Can just see it - "move in a bit, bit more, bit more, smile!"

littlemissbossy · 16/05/2005 10:00

WOW that was lovely
and the look on the face of the little boy meeting his new brother ahhhh

PuffTheMagicDragon · 16/05/2005 10:01

They've got my oven.

Wish the rest of my kitchen looked like theirs!

I don't think everyone would make something like this - he happens to run a design services company doesn't he?

snafu · 16/05/2005 10:19

Oooh, you lot are so cynical

Went to a midwifery conference a couple of months ago and was shown a couple of similar films. Felt like a limp wet rag by the end and had snotty tissues stuffed into every pocket. I loved it.

JoolsToo · 16/05/2005 10:22

Thank God for that Snafu - I'm a big wuss too and balled my eyes out by the end! I thought it was gorgeous - though wouldn't have wanted myself plastered on the net I must admit!

snafu · 16/05/2005 11:21

gdg - I'm dreading what a soppy midwife I'm going to make!

I liked the tasteful photoshopping of the messy bits . Serene looked a bit overwhelmed at cutting the cord (bit gruesome for my liking). They missed out the lovely placenta delivering bit, I wonder why? And no breastfeeding either - but I think showing a boob in america is considered porn.

Twiglett · 16/05/2005 11:48

I thought that was truly beautiful

although personally I'd have edited the song so the last words weren't "everyone you know someday will die"

Gobbledigook · 16/05/2005 11:52

Triceratops - wasn't she bf on one of the last pics where the whole family was sat in bed?
