Has some pains on Sat night which wore off .
Last night lost a lot of white dischaarge not bloodtained it did not look like a show .

About 7pm tonight started with what I thought were BH now they are getting stronger and I can feel them deep inside me and are getting painful iyswim?
They are lasting between 30 and 50 seconds
and are every 5 to 7 mins .

Just lost another load of discharge .

Have had babies before just not 5 weeks early and I am still wondering if they are strong BH?

DP just runnnig a bath for me .

Will baby be ok if born now ?

Hi - not sure if it's labour or not because Braxton Hicks can be pretty intense, especially when it's not your first but just wanted to say I had a baby at 34 weeks and he was absolutely fine (he's 9 now). Never had any steroids to strengthen lungs or anything, he needed SCBU for 5 days and then he stayed in another 5 just because of jaundice.

Good luck, hope everything goes well xx

How are you doing now? Any thoughts on phoning the delivery suite/midwife for advice?

I am sure that if this is 'it' you and baby will be fine.

Did the bath ease the pains?

Hope you are ok?

my dts were born at 35 wks, no scbu, in for a week with jaundice though, they're fine now, so don't worry and good luck

I have been having these since about 34 weeks. Had them with ds2 as well (so much so that even a MW thought I was in labour they were so regular and strong, and increasing in intensity).

Move around a bit, change position, if this changes the intensity of the contractions or stops them then they're probably BH. I find that with BH the more I concentrate on them the stronger they get, but if I go and do something then they go away.

If it is labour then as has already been said baby is pretty much fully developed and should be fine.

Let us know how you are

Yeah, my braxton hicks diffently got worse with every pregnancy, but could tell them apart from labour pains.

But I have to say with DS3, I thought I was going into labour every night from about 33-34 weeks, and he was born on time. He certainly mucked me about.

What number is this for you?

My friend's third was born at 35 weeks and he was ok.

My youngest is 15 weeks and was born at 35 weeks. She was kept in for a week because she was IUGR so needed to show she could feed and gain weight, would have been out sooner but she went above the therapy line for jaundice. It's a really good age. I'm slightly biased by having a 31 weeker too, but honestly she has done brilliantly she's even keeping up with actual age.

I had had steroids because I'd been in labour for 11 weeks, but wouldn't have done if I'd gone in without ever having them.

At that distance I would be checking in with triage. Believe me they would rather be seeing you when you're just having BH than having an early baby born at home.
