I had a bloody show last night and had to go in to labour ward to be checked out as the blood was very fresh and I was contracting. Ctx were 10 mins apart and off the scale on the CTG but I was not dilated at all. I'm still considered pre-term as I'm 36+4 today so I'm not asking for tips to make labour start, more abour how to keep comfortable over the next few days. Baby keeps on moving from LOA through LOT to OP position and engaging/disengaging so I'm well aware that this could go on for weeks. I'm already driven mad by it as I never noticed this stage with DD.

sit on a birth ball, rather than slumped back in a chair, lean over it too. have a google of optimal foetal positioning

at this stage, you don;t want too much to happen, but you are full term at 37 weeks, which is not long to go

wallow in the bath , and lie on your left side when you lie down

Thanks. I only have to hold on until saturday and then I'll be eating curry and pineapple and tweaking my nips to get things going properly I'm trying to rest up but I am so fed up of how painful the contractions are when they do happen. It was so much easier having a baby that stayed in ROA position.

Have a look at the spinning babies website Swaliswan there is useful information there about optimal foetal positioning.

Good luck.
