You'll be having a baby then!

Congrats! Hope it happens soon and is very straightforward for you!

SniffyHock · 18/03/2009 00:18

Thanks!! It doesn't feel real (have only had 9 months to get used to the idea It could be ages yet but I can't sleep.

Is it your first?

I paced like a caged lion after my waters went - should've tried to sleep, but I did start contracting quite strongly soon after they went - maybe because I was up and walking about!

How exciting!

AitchTwoOh · 18/03/2009 00:23

ooooh, how utterly lovely. can i suggest you try to get some sleep if you can? and can i check that you're not strep b positive?

SniffyHock · 18/03/2009 00:23

It's my third. My waters went with DS but I didn't start contractions for 2 hours. With DD I just went straight to contractions and they broke my waters in labour - less than 2 hours start to finish so fingers crossed! I've told DH to sleep and will call the midwife when contractions kick in.

i suspect somebodhy more useful will be along soon

SniffyHock · 18/03/2009 00:25

Not strep b as far as I know (and I assume I would) - may try and sleep but the hopeful bit of me expects it all to be over in a few hours.

pah, it's your third. you're an old hand.

hunkermunker · 18/03/2009 00:26

Do you know what you're having?

(Yes, a baby...!)

Have you got a name sorted?

These are things that occupied me whilst waiting for mine to be born!

SniffyHock · 18/03/2009 00:29

No, it's a surprise!!! I think girl for some reason. I think I'm waiting to meet baby before picking a name although really struggling for a boy.

Am annoyed now as earlier this evening I watched my sky plus-ed ER and Desparate Housewives and now there's nothing on!!

With my first, my waters went at 1am, contractions started at 3am, and DD was born at 6am. Sending speedy labour vibes your way!
