I was told my MW that straight after labour you loose 8 kg, which is like, what, 15 pounds? means: the baby, placneta etc.

what was you experience?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

When I said 1.5 stone, that was 10 - 11 lbs of baby, the rest blood and water, as CoteD'Azur says. The remaining 2 stones plus was retained water and fat from consuming extra calories in an effort to control constant nausea.

I weighed 77kg the morning I went in to labour - baby born at lunch time.
