Has anyone had any recent birth experiences here?

Had DD at Homerton and feel kind of lukewarm about it.

Wondering if anywhere else might be more uplifting?

Any comments gratefully received.

xx

I am intrigued? Why does she think the Whit is best?

You had good experiences then?

I liked it very much but the midwife I saw seemed obsessed with EFM fetal monitoring which I found kind of offputting.

I think I am going to start a VBAC Whittington thread to see if I can get any more thoughts from people...

HOmerton (ante natal and delivery) was great for me, had VBAC in May 2008. Can't recommend it highly enough. WOuld tell people to cross town to go there. Post natal ropey but so are many other places sadly.

Hi! Sorry just saw your post -nice mw from whit team called marie and ob - miss eben are very positive and lovely. had pre eclampsia, lengthy induction etc (you can imagine the rest) last time, so obviously will see how it all goes this time, but hopefully the gods of labour will be kind second time around!
Good luck x

Just read replies from Harriet and Becktay. Thanks very much.

I am interested that you had a good experience at Homerton Harriet? I met with a senior midwife there last week and she seemed determined to stick a canula in my hand and monitor me with EFM :-(

Am speaking with Whit consultant this week so fingers crossed she will be a bit more positive.
