I am hoping to have 2nd VBAC any day now. My (limited) research has not given me ANY cause for concern that scar will rupture. I'm sure someome with knowledge will correct me but statistically I really don't think its a huge risk.

you should have signs of imminent rupture. there is a good article by Mary Cronk about the signs of rupture. have a google for it, or search the archives on here

if it is a full rupture then it is a real emergecny and you will need a crash c.s under general aneasthesia to deliver the baby immediately.

the risks are equivalent to the risk of cord prolapse which is a risk for every woman going into labour.

it is a risk but in context it should be less scary but you are right to think of the what ifs and the possible risks

I am, fingers crossed, heading for a VBAC in March.

I was told by registrar that the risk of scar rupture is something like 0.4% (it was less than 1% anyway) and that you would know if it was rupturing (this was in support of the idea that I didn't want continuous monitoring).
