I don't know if this is the right place to post but my DD will be one in March and her birth was an amazing experience.

I had an extremely quick labour and she was delivered at home by my DH while he took instructions over the phone from the emergency operator. Without this lovely lady I don't know how we would have coped. We would also like to thank the paramedics that arrived after DD was born. We have always wanted to say thanks but don't know how to find out who these people are.

This may seem like a strange request but we would really like to thank them to let them know how grateful we were and still are for all of them that morning.

Any idea's how we go about tracing them??

Try asking the hospital switch board of the hospital they were attached to, for either a number, or for them to pass on a message

Would doubt it would be a switchboard for a hospital.

Most emergency service operators are now nbased in large regiional call centres.

It may be worth googling your local area and emergency call centre (or derivitives of) then if you get lucky you can write a letter to the centre and a copy to the local amulance station....( presumiong the paramedics were locally based and not workig out of area)

Good luck and it would be lovely to get a letter like that especially a year on showing they were still in your thoughts

what a lovely idea

bet it would make their day

I would try find out who is the runs the ambulance service in the area(in large areas each hospital may be served by several different ambulance stations) and then send it through them.

Yes, it would be the local ambulance service control centre, so if you were in london, the london ambulance service. If you send a message via their HQ then it shoujld get to who it needs to, and they woudl be able to find the right paramedic team as well.
And that would be a really lvoely thing to do.
