Not sure I've posted in the right place (apologies if not) but I have a friend who is due to have her second baby in around 6 weeks.

She has an 18 month old already.

I'd really like to get her a useful chrismtas pressie...

What would YOU like if you were due to have a second baby in late January?

Thanks for any ideas!

A babysitting voucher you have made.

I'd like something treat-y, either natural products like Lush, Burt's bees or weleda, or babysitting voucher as others suggested... just anything frivolous and a bit spoiling, really..

If you wanted to get something practical for the baby, then a snowsuit or something. If 18 month gap, then presumably first was a summer baby, and she won't have first size warm stuff. (I'm in a similar situation, dd1 born in a heatwave, dc2 due any day, and being disorganised only realised in the last week or so that really don't have much warm stuff!!!!!)

but agree that... something lovely, frivolous and entirely treaty for the mum is bound to be appreciated....

A cleaner for a month would have been lovely.

I would have loved a voucher for the hairdresser or beauty shop to get my legs waxed or a massage with the offer that someone would look after the baby while I went. It took about 3 months for me to do anything about the hairy legs as I didn't want to ask anyone to look after the baby while I did something for myself in case I looked like a bad mother

When I finally did go and get a haircut and the extra body hair removed I felt so much more human! Still tired, just slightly less unattractive...
