Hi
I had DS2 14 days ago and up until day 9/10 bleeding was very watery and almost stopping.

MW discharged me.

on day 10 and 11 I went for a couple of really long walks and noticed that bleeding returned not v heavy but red again.

Phoned up mw at hospital and they told me to call doctor if worried. I did and the doc told me not to worry unless it was smelly or I had any pains.

I have not had pains and it isn't smelly (sorry) but the bleeding is still there - I had none whatsoever yesterday - I was resting ALL day but today after being up and about again it has come back - I would say it is a couple of teaspoons worth of blood every day.

i am worrying because it is red again - is this normal? Is it worth going to see my GP?

Other than this recovery has been excellent.

(I am looking after a 2 year DS1)

Am having the same 3 weeks later and HV said today its normal. Apparently on day 10/11 you particularly prone to bleed more and pass clots - dont know why but what MW said. Found this reassuring. I guess giving birth is such a huge thing there is bound to be quite alot of bleeding afterwards.

Yep I second that. I was quite light with DD, so I did an aerobic session and had a massive bleed in bed. It is your body's was of telling you to slow down!

most of my bleeding was clotted (sorry) so I am not really sure of the answer to your question, however, what I do know is that if you are troubled by it and worried, you should go to the docs and ask them to take a look - I think they are too quick to fob people off - I am not trying to scaremonger you I just think that you should put your mind at rest and then you can concentrate your energies on enjoying your new bubba
PS: if you have a DS1, are you sure you have been able to rest??

It does sound fine to me. I think the level of bleeding varies according to what you do (you aren't supposed to be picking up your DS1). With my 2nd, I was still bleeding after 2 weeks and the bleed varied. It was never massive though.

no it is not massive and it isn't clots.
