I know, that was my dosage. Does seem a lot! 30c may well be better.

Good luck, remember not to mix homeopathy and aromatherapy at the same time. S'posed to cancel each other out, but you can check with her.

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 24/10/2008 17:24

ah - didn't know that. I'm burning clary sage (only aromatherapy I'm using) should I give that a rest whilst trying the caulophylum? almost run out fo clary sage now anyway....

Lotster · 24/10/2008 17:54

TBH I'm not sure about inhalation. Had only thought about applying topically in creams/baths etc. I'd ask your expert, or call Ainsworths!

thanks for the tip hun

Lotster, what is reflexology induction when it's at home? What do they do?

Lotster · 25/10/2008 00:19

Helloo,

it's like having a session of foot reflexology that's not so enjoyable

She basically did normal foot reflexology, then pressed very hard on the areas of my foot, heel and ankle that corresponded to the reproductive areas to stimulate things in to action.

A coincidentally it was at home too!

Flowermum · 25/10/2008 00:55

Hmmm... thought I might be able to manage having a go at it myself but looks a bit complicated to get the exact points so maybe not.
I'm at the point where I'll try anything, just nothing too taxing!

does anone know whether it's OK to caulphyllium for a VBA2C labour or should I abstain from it like raspberry leaf tea?

Personally I wouldn't touch it - it might rush thing and put strain on you. But that's just my cautious guess, you can call Ainsworth's (google) for the best advice.

argh caulophylam not working so far - on day three of taking 30c 3x a day, maybe my baby just isn't ready!

Perhaps so GETMH, have you been having any other signs you might be ready to go? Braxton Hicks? Anything like that?

liahGeneMutatedMonster · 27/10/2008 19:16

gwmh

The thing is, my homeopath said to me, (and she was proved right) When your labour starts, don't mess about getting to the hospital, (or wherever yu are going to have your baby)

I still went overdue on Caulophylum, but labour was 2 hrs.

Flowermum · 27/10/2008 22:15

Yup I went over too, 5 days, but my whole labour from first twinge was between 7 and 8 hours, which i thought was pretty fast for a first!
It was fast and intense, contractions started at 5mins apart, no messing around!

Lotster · 27/10/2008 22:48

Hang in there sweets! i also dilated fast, 3 hrs 50!

Even if it doesn't bring it on faster, it's still toning up the exits!

LackaDAISYcal · 28/10/2008 00:16

Maybe I should steer clear then. I've got some evening primrose oil which has a much gentler effect.

zazen · 28/10/2008 00:43

I took callophyllum, 200c when in labour with my babe and it really didn't do anything - I was being induced and cervix was only 1cm at the time I took it.

thinking back, I probably should have taken Gelsemium, as I was a bit apprehensive, and stage fright-ish about the whole thing. A bit of Aconite wouldn't have gone amiss also.

I took callophyllum for let down when i was breastfeeding, was brill for a fast milk release.

Lotster · 28/10/2008 12:45

Zazen that's really good to know! Would love to increase the flow rate this time!

Flum · 28/10/2008 14:49

Blimeyh this stuff sounds erm..... too good to be true really

Lotster · 31/10/2008 12:53

Any news ladies? Hopefully you can't reply because you're too busy birthing babes that are popping out like a bar of soap!

Tinkerisdead · 03/11/2008 13:06

Bump.

ive just started taking this, my booklet says 200c every 15 minutes, midwife agreed but looking on here that seems a lot. rang Helios and they said 200c once a day.... can anyone else tell me what they are taking or have taken??

Lotster · 03/11/2008 17:13

Crikey, that sound like a lot, unless it's a dosage for during labour, (eg. I took an arnica every two hours in labour to keep swelling down and ease baby's passage) but still sounds a hell of a lot.

I think my chemist/homeopath blokey told me two tablets a couple of times a day. In hindsight I think that was too much for me.

I would trust Helios TBH. Or ring Ainsworths for a definitive answer.
