Post baby tummy tone

I am due to have a c-section and call me vain, but I am worried about the tone of my post baby tummy, in particular, saggy skin! Will applying bio-oil or anything else help me to shrink back down and firm up again?

I seem to be bigger this pregnancy than with my last, and I am seriously worried where all that excess skin will go!!!

I would recommend the dvd Pilates for Mums. It has a 0 - 6 week exercise section which you can do if you have had a c-section, and then more advanced after that. I had a c-section 6 weeks ago and it has been brilliant for toning my tummy. Also using bio-oil and a friend recommended decleor prolagene gel but i haven't tried that yet because it is so expensive.

It takes 9 months to get there....

I have done pilates before, now I rather wish that I had done a pregnacy pilates class!

But I will try the DVD and the bio-oil. Who is the DVD by?

If you don't mind me asking, how much is the decleor prolagene gel? Just in case the bio-oil doesn't help....

It is in the £30 range but you only need a little bit each time - i think you can get it in debenhams. DVD is Lindsey Jackson - you can get it off amazon - it is brilliant. Good luck.

Thank you Lcy - I will order the DVD and the gel and hope for the best!

Hmmm....it is the saggy skin that I am worried about, especially as I am over 40, I don't expect that I will exactly "snap back"

I am having an elective section at 38 weeks, due to transverse baby, so maybe that will help then!

Maybe I am just vain...

I was told, don't know if it's true, that if you have fat on your tummy then they don't stitch it, but just the fleshy bits, which is why lots of women get that post section overhang. I have to say I have it myself!

I also heard that if you ask they will attach the fat to avoid this. However, you may want to check this is fact befor emaking a tit of yourself and asking the surgeon!

Exercise will help (biol oil...meh)

Nothing can really get rid of saggy skin or an overhang, though. It's all down to genetics.

Well I suppose that my last resort would have to be a tummy tuck.....

Rodial tummy tuck cream is AMAZING!!! Very pricey but I honestly could not believe the difference it made.

I was about a stone overweight before I was pregnant, very large baby put on 3 stone (blush) due to lots of walking and the wonder of breastfeeding was 5 stone lighter by my 6 week check and wearing size 10 bikini when dd 10 weeks old on holiday.

Exercise really is the key and resistig the kitkat your body craves when feeding and have fruit insted!!

Size 10 bikini.

Can someone please explain what this is? i now live in a world of polo-neck control pants.
