Hi,

I gave birth to my DD 6 months ago and since then I have been suffering from really bad head/neck pain.
The neuro and physio have both said its caused by loosening joints when pregnant and during labour and they say it was very common.
I was wondering if anybody else has had this or know someone with it as I like to know Im not alone
Thanks.

I had lots of aches and pains after ds2. He was a big baby, lots of amniotic fluid, huge placenta ..... Anyway I felt it was all due to my posture being out of whack and bought some MBTs when he was about 8 months old (after lots of agonising about the cost of them). Made a huge difference and made me realize I had a few things left over from being pg with ds1 too. Sorted me out totally by about 5 weeks later. Really recommend them. You could also try pilates if you can get childcare.

Trainers with curved sole. Feels a bit like you've got a ball under the middle of your foot. MBT is short for Masai Barefoot Technology. There is a website, but it doesn't tell you much. (Comes up on a google search.) The best thing is to find a shop that sells them (mine were from a Sweaty Betty) and try them out if you're interested.

Probably not v. helpful but..

Used to get stiff neck when I was stressed, doc told me to drink lots of water and do forwards and back head movements like a pigeon.

Water can't hurt anyway...
