Is this so-called 'false labour'?

I'm 2 days overdue with baby no.3. No.1 was induced and with my second I woke up in pretty full-on labour. Last night I had contractions 25mins apart. Got a couple of hours sleep and woke up and they were 7 mins apart for an hour. Then they stopped. This a'noon I had another hour when they were 6 mins apart. They are def. proper contractions and I'm feeling odd - sick, indigestion, hard to get around etc. Could this go on for days or do I have hope to believe that labour is truly imminent?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think it could mean both - it can go on for days or labour can be imminet!!

Iwas having contractions 6 - 7 mins apart for nearly 4 days and they hurt, then one morning they really hurt. Not sure if the 1st few days were real labour or not. At the time I didn't know because everyone kept talking about contractions in the tummy and I had absolutely none they were all in my back even in established labour right up to when he was born

All my contractions centred in my back too, Which confused me as PPL also told me they would be in tummy

my mum had all contractions in her back when she was pregnant with me. I don't think mil really believed I was in labour as she said she had never heard of contractions in the back. Only cause her and her daughter never had them

In the tummy??? mine were only in the back. Anyways, I would suggest you check with your midwife, even if the labour is going to be long and you are still days away from delivering the baby, I believe it is a good idea to have some kind of monitoring just to be sure that you both are OK.
