Anyone find a simple dressing gown any where? I can't find any maternity ones that I like the look of, any suggestions gratefully received!
I'd like something long, cotton and simple really.

I wore white shorts and cami top and a white waffle robe....didn't have a problem...

I just don't get the whole dressing like it's night time, 24 hours/day in hospital. What's wrong with regular clothes??

I really want some flip flops too but threw my last pair out when they fell apart.... now need to find flip flops.....

I may well ditch the dressing gown idea too! It's just the idea of other people's visitors and not wanting to show my heinous white legs to anyone!

But it's true hospitals are hotter than hell aren't they?

It's so long since ds was born I've forgotten almost everything (except the pain and the stitches..... I remember every minute of the latter......... )

I wore a waffle robe (white) but, like someone else said, only to and from the loo/shower. I just got it a few sizes up from normal and it was fine - I still use it.

I just don't get how most (all?) of the maternity/breastfeeding nightware is white or pastel colours. Do they not have any idea how much women bleed after childbirth? It makes me so grumpy. And I can't even wear the lovely stuff with built in support/breastfeeding drop down cups, because "they" have decided that if you have big boobs then it's because you're enormous all over. I have big boobs because I'm naturally a bit bigger up top and I'm pregnant and breastfeeding! Even my friends who don't need bras at all normally went up to a D cup.

Hm, I think the hormones are getting to me. Perhaps I should lie down for a while...

don't let them give you the oxytocin injection in order to induce delivery of the placenta after birth and you might not have so much bleeding afterwards

Anna8888 · 27/08/2008 08:57

I had a fab dressing gown which had pink and red splodges all over
