Induction suggested due to fast first labour. Advice needed.

Hi, I posted a while back about my consultant's suggestion that I be reviewed at 38 weeks for possible induction this time due to a very quick labour first time round.

I have been thinking it over and the reasons I have against induction are:

  1. 38 weeks is too early. DD was only 3 days early so why is there a need to intervene so early?
  1. DD was just over 6lb in weight if this is another small baby won't it be tiny at 38 weeks?
  1. If we proceeded with induction at 38 weeks could it make breast feeding harder to establish?
  1. Although length of labour from first contraction to delivery was very quick with dd I instinctively knew for about 12 hours that it was imminent. This time round I would go immediately to the hospital if I felt the same.
  1. I have heard that if you are likely to have a quick labour then induction can make it very intense and painful and as I had dd with no pain relief needed I would like to aim for this again and keep things as natural as possible.

Does this sound like a list of things I can put forward to the consultant to make my case? Has anyone any thoughts or anything to add?

Thanks
