Don't laugh, it's not funny, have been vomiting and pooping since 2am and have bad badache and intermittent tightenings and have just had a show (again - I must have a ficking snail up there).

Have totally lost all sense of humour, just want to get her on the bloody train so she's out the way and I can get on with it.

Need to do a sodding birthplan and hospital bag because my original plan is out the window (homebirth) and all my clothes go dirty last week when I was admitted with high BP. Oh and I can't find any sodding knickers because my MiL has helpfully done all the washing and put them somewhere . But if they are not in a low cupboard I'm buggered anyway because I can't actually get up off the floor.

Some serious swearing is called for at this point.

Why don't you agree to lunch, be last out to the car, sit in in and then say actually I feel a bit tired. You guys go ahead. Prime DH to have the engine running and say gaily are you sure then drive off before the limpet MIL starts to open her seatbelt.

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 06/07/2008 11:16

Come back..............

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 06/07/2008 12:09

Oh dear it has all gone terribly quiet......

JackieNo · 06/07/2008 12:36

I do hope they're driving MIL to the station.

whomovedmychocolate · 06/07/2008 14:03

Have found knickers - silly cow had put them in DHs knicker drawer (yeah it's likely he wears pink cotton briefs ).

Have called hospital, they want me to go in, so am hiding. DH has taken her and DD to the station - she needs a nap and I do too, things seem to have calmed down a tad but not feeling brilliant - BP has gone up quite a bit and have epigastric pain so will be going in later on anyway because of the previous PET.

Have just given up packing a bag when I realised I was unable to close it and couldn't concentrate enough to get stuff in there anyway.

Have the feeling I'll be eating hospital food tonight urggh which is enough to make anyone sick.

epigastric pain and BP up... you need to be in hospital asap.. hope all is well, and you are welcoming DS soon

if you are in labour, but latent, will you labour , or are you going to be suggested that you have a sectioN>

JackieNo · 06/07/2008 14:08

Best of luck whomoved - hope DH and DD get back soon to take you in. Can you get DH to bring you food (I remember how dire it was)?

whomovedmychocolate · 06/07/2008 14:17

LOL at lulu thinking I have a plan. I've just thrown up in my birth bag - bugger! That's the only bit of the plan I have out the window.

Umm pass, VBAC probably - but they only give you six hours before they start trying to convince you to section round here with previous PET (or indeed current PET).

BP is going down a bit - probably now the old woman is gone - hurrah, hurrah!

Poor DH, one mother in law leaves and I'm going to have to call my mum to come over and look after DD doh! . Oh well at least mine will turn up with chocolate!

DH is v good at going to Sainsburys for provisions JackieNo - though I really don't think I fancy eating anything for the next oooh six years!

Oooh thank God for that.

RE MIL that is.

callmeovercautious · 06/07/2008 14:22

Get your coat on now woman! Sit by the door and get straight in the car when DH gets back. No more messing about

Good luck

Qally · 06/07/2008 14:26

Oh God, you so have my sympathy. My MIL moved in "for a few days" and stayed for 3 weeks when we were first married & renovating the house, it reduced me to tears of frustration by the end, and that is NOTHING compared to labour. Also boggling that she can't understand that your mother is not the same as your mother-in-law in terms of welcome birthing witnesses. Intimacy difference, much?! Thank God she's gone - and eee, GOOD LUCK with the birth!

FoghornLeghorn · 06/07/2008 14:26

How exciting WMMC

Glad MIL is out of the way now ..... roll on DS.
Good Luck

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/07/2008 14:58

lulumama · 06/07/2008 16:09

whomovedmychocolate · 06/07/2008 16:23

Just back from the playground with DD - she was really upset so I thought a little toddle would help - it's literally three minutes away. Am having cx but not timing them - no point really, they'll either happen or not. Am packing up the car now (well DH is) and waiting for my mum to get here, then we are off.

Thanks for all the best wishes, will probably still be like this in a week but ho hum.

Fingers crossed for you, m'dear.

springerspaniel · 06/07/2008 17:20

Why do they ask questions they don't want the real answer to (ie. why your mum is allowed round but not her.)

My MIL asks why we see more of my mother than her. BECAUSE I LIKE MY MOTHER YOU OLD BAT.

Sorry. Due in 2 days and DREADING the emotional blackmail crap. She also turned up the day after DS1 was born, despite the fact that we had had no sleep for 48 hours and didn't want her there. She then sat on her arse and we made her sandwiches and bloody cups of tea.

Aargh. Grrr.

Good luck.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 07/07/2008 15:43
