Does anyone else actually enjoy having a good old holler?

Has anyone else been drugged by errant health professionals attempting to quieten the process?

(1st and only hospital birth, told I was taking pethidine or epi (no choice of just nothing) because I was scaring other people on the ward! I try my best.)

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Aw, I never made any animal noises I went down the route of 'oh fuck it really hurts, fuck, fuck, oh shit, oh it fucking hurts. OK that's enough, I can't do this now, it fucking hurts.' Surprisingly lucid I thought!

Will remember to moo next time

Agree with earlier post that vocalising in any way is good - according to juju sandin birth skills book focusing on the sound you make helps your brain to ignore the pain - and have also heard that low sounds are better than high - so I've been practicing in the shower thank goodness the bathroom doesn't have windows. expect I'll be shaking the foundations when the time comes!

Maybe they wouldn't have to worry so much if they didnt keep non labouring women on the delivery suite. When I was in labour I couldnt give a monkeys how much noice others made but when I was transferred between hospitals and kept on the delivery suite til they sorted me out in the morning it was hell being surrounded by caterwauling women. especially as I was desperately trying to keep my baby in.

I do remember saying oh sheeeeeeeeeeeeee(i)t during the worst moments on ds2s birth.
