does anbody else feel that they were not cared for as well as they should be. its ben in the news a lot lately, and i have heard lts of complaints but then the hospital unit got voted one of the best maternity units how can thAT be, there has been an uproar of people complaining as their complaints werre not dealt with
my problems were.
as i was having lots of problems in early stages of pregancies i went into have a scan they told me i am carrying twins, we were toldto come back in two weks then a very bossy lady just seemed in to muchg of a rush, she quickly did my internal and said your baby is fine nothing to worry, we said we were told they were twins, she ust said she could not see anything. then we went to our normal scan who told us oh you got two babe but one died last week. we were shocked at this and very confused . they then after doing more obs sent me home, wothout telling e what would happen next, i was in shock very upset. it took 7 calls and 2 different explanations later to find out what would happen to other twin.still dont really know?.
after that they they booked me in for c section, i was terrified what was going to happen. they told me day before op that if i needed baby changing /fed/ settled to ring bell as i would not be able to move. after i had dd i only seen one person who came after i was cring in pain for pain relief. the baby woke i rang bell no one came. in the orning after a very sore night the nurse moved me out of bed by the window, left bab and buzzer by bed , i could not walk yet. i was not looked after at all on that ward so why bring you in to tell you need to relax. i got more help and rest at home

you had a horrible time its not just you. There should be some procedure to complain and also speak to someone about your ordeal. I know my friend had a debrief with staff after she gave birth in Bedford and was unhappy but she had to bug to get the appointment and it took a while to come through.

It's not uncommon unfortunately The service is ridiculously overstretched and there are some hard nosed, bitter MW out there as well.

I am really sorry you had such a crappy experience, especially in the early stages where one of your babies had died - they treated you appallingly. Would it help for you to complain about it to the hospital, in teh hope that other women would be treated better?

I had a shit time with DS1, forced into a CS, had him taken away from me in theatre, had to practically shout at some nurse not to feed my baby a bottle etc etc.
Have you thought about complaining?

not sure how to go about it to be honest but looked on net an have asked someone to get in touch with me but hve they hell. i was lying in a bed of blood for first few days in the end my dp had to demand the linen so he could change m bed. all people on my ward left early as were not getting any medical help. they made me walk to get my own breakfast 2nd say i know this was to get in position of recovery but i was in so much agony wobled for ten minutes then came back to find a breafast at my bed and told i should not be walking around
