Piles 4 months postpartum

I know this is a horribly embarrassing topic but I'm so worried and desperate to feel normal

I had severe constipation after my csection but didn't notice anything at the time.

I'm 4 months postpartum and a few days ago noticed a lump around my bum. It wasn't painful then, but is starting to feel sore and stingy.

I'm so ashamed. I've never had anything like this and feel so down as it's another thing on the ling list of things during recovery. I feel like I've just reached the end of what I can tolerate now and feel so worn down.

Does anyone have any experience ce of this and how long did it take to recover from?

I'm using the non hydrocortisone version of Anusol

Hi OP, just wondering how you’re getting on a few weeks later? Hope it’s settled down for you

Hey @Buttons0522 thanks so much for your message. I was just thinking of posting an update a couple of days ago.

Thanks again for your help, I can't tell you how much of a state and spiral I was in :( postpartum really has screwed my mind and body up

Your recommendation of scheriproct worked thank god! I used it for a week which helped with reducing the swelling but was still swollen after the week so the GP said I could use it for 3 days more. Plus I had a warm bath twice a day, and used an ice pack once a day. It has gone down and isn't such agony now thank god. I was so terrified, is that pathetic?

The pain has gone as has the swelling but the haemorrhoid itself hasn't completely gone, with a bit left. Did yours go completely?

I'm ashamed to say I've been too scared to go outside for walks as I'm worried about it flaring up again. I've been walking and doing things around the house and went for a very short walk today. Did you find walking caused you more problems with it? X

Exercise was pretty much the only thing that took my mind off mine.
So many things being suggested here just made them worse.
Sounds like I had the same op as @Newbuildtooldbuild Solidarity re the recovery process!

Argh.

Things have been OK in the bowel area and have been able to go easily regularly. Except this morning when it was a lot harder and difficult to go. I haven't had that since csection, I didn't strain and could go after 10/15muns. But just wondered based on experiences whether this alone can trigger a flare? @Buttons0522
