I had a sweep at 39+4 yesterday. Is this a sign labour could be close?

Hi, I had a sweep yesterday at 39+4 yesterday. I haven’t experienced any signs after it that labour could be close apart from losing a bit of my mucus plug. I know they say it can take up to 48 hours after a sweep for labour to start. How quickly did labour start for everyone? And could losing some of my mucus plug be a sign labour is close?

Did they say how soft your cervix was or if you were dilated at all?
I had a sweep at 37+5 and baby arrived 4 hours later… buuut I was already 4cm and I didn’t know it and my cervix was soft and favorable.
Had sweep at 38 weeks with baby #2 but I was less dilated and his head wasn’t fully engaged. I went into labor 38+2 and he arrived 6 hours after first contraction.

Sweeps might work when the body is favorable but as i understand it, not so much when there are no signs of change in cervix.
