Birthing pools - advice on 2nd hand ones?

Hi there
Birthing pools aren't hugely expensive I know, but it all adds up when you are shelling out for all the baby stuff, first time around.
I wondered if anyone had any ideas/suggestions/advice/tips or warnings even, about sourcing or using borrowed birthing pools or second hand ones.
I don't want to hire one as it costs alot of money so we thought about getting an inflatable one from the internet. Have heard mixed reviews and time's also ticking at 38 weeks pregnant and probably need to stop dithering and make a decision!
Help greatly appreciated :0) xxx

I had an inflatable one that i used twice and the kids used it inbetween , I got it from the states, but it was similar to the birth pool in a box one I think it cost about 35 quid with the shipping there's one like it on this page

I was given a birth in a box from someone on here who didn't use it. You buy a new liner for it anyway so really can't see any problem with buying a 2nd hand one. Think they are £150 new, pretty sure I paid £100 for mine. Happy to let you have mine for an agreed price. Marslady who is also a mumsnetter and was my doula will vouch that it's a huge and fab pool, absolutely pristine, I was in it for an hour and a hlaf max I think, no mess at all, deflated, liner chucked and repacked.

Anyway up to you but whereever you buy it the birth in box pools are great.

Good luck - enjoy, water births are fab.
