Hey,
Just curious for anyone who PPROM’d when did baby come?
My waters broke at 25 +2, iv been in hosp since and I’m now 28 + 3.
obviously I want baby to stay in as long af possible but I’m really struggling with the uncertainty of when they will come, also I’m really missing my son and husband.
We live 2 hours from the hosp so iv only seen my son once in that time (we FaceTime every night but it’s not the same)

Mine broke at 31.3 and I managed till 38 weeks on bed rest

I had PPROM at 31+1, baby was born about 45 hours later at 31+3.

They told me that the biggest risk is of giving birth within 48 hours, and if you've made it more than 48 hours then making it to full term is likely - I was about to be sent home and expected to be induced at 34 weeks (due to group B strep) but then went into labour.

Dc4 waters broke at 35+1 and he was born at 35+3 by c-section
Dc5 waters broke at 35+3 and he was born at 36+6 by c section. Both had to be evicted before labour. Dc4 wasn't going anywhere before they hauled him out but with dc5 i had a show and made it to 2cm dilated so he would have come on his own in a couple of days i think. They needed to get him out a lot quicker than that though.

Baby was born very quickly but I was further along (34 weeks) and contractions started naturally soon after PPROM.

If contractions don’t start, I think they will try to get you to at least 34 weeks if they can. They told me 34 weeks is the point where the risks of infection outweigh the risk of being born early. However this was 12 years ago so thinking may have changed and perhaps they would try to go longer now.

I had PROM at 33+3. I was kept in and given the steroid injections with a view to induce at 34. Baby was breach so ended up having an emergency c section

Thanks for all the replies, I didn’t actually realise u had any! 😂 baby is still staying put thankfully, the view is to try and get me to 37 weeks and section me then if all remains fine. Im on bed rest in hospital and got Covid here 🙄 im on day 5 in isolation so I get out to the world again tomorrow thank god! CRP levels are high tho but due to the Covid I assume so be repeating blood work for a few days and hoping that doesn’t have an affect on the baby

That’s what I was told as well. I was kept in hospital for 2 nights after my waters broke, and then sent home. My waters broke at 34 weeks and I was induced at 37.

I had prom but it was days short of 37 so contractions started about 5 hours later, they'd have induced me if they had space in the labour ward.
