VBAC at 40+ years old

Has anyone had one?
I had DC2 via EMCS 14 months ago - I was 40+5 when my waters broke with meconium, was then induced but failed to progress past 5cm dilation.
I had a vaginal birth with DC1, but this was 20 years ago.
We are considering DC3 and I'd love a VBAC, I really struggled mentally having a EMCS.
I have heard that if you're over 40 they're less keen to let you try a VBAC and don't want anyone over 40yo to go over 40 weeks gestation which if true feels like it'd really limit my chances.

Hi OP, I’ve had 4 children at age 39, 40 and 44. All were VBSC with no complications. C sections were never mentioned or suggested, although am sure they wouldn’t have hesitated to do one in an emergency.

it’s true that over the age of 40 they don’t like you to go to full term as there is an increased risk of stillbirth. I had successful inductions at 39 weeks for 2 of mine and then a sweep got the other one moving. Good luck with your third if you decide to go ahead! X
