2 stage bladder prolapse

Hi everyone
please help a mama out
I am the proud mum of a 2YO little girl and love her to bits but , recently , I have been “ diagnosed “ with stage 2 bladder prolapse ( I was told it is very common after childbirth) , never did any pelvic floor exercises during pregnancy 😣. I am on a referral list for a PT but , in the meantime, my GP suggested the use of a tens machine combined with a list of exercises . Has anyone had any success with the tens machine ? ☺️

I used a Kegel 8 (not sure if that’s a tens machine) for my pelvic floor recovery and it really did help, a lot. Is that the kind of thing you mean?

I’d say about a month? Maybe less. But I was in a really bad way - full on incontinence, etc. My prolapse was quite small, but by the end of the treatment the physio said she could no longer feel it.
If going private for a couple of specialist women’s physio sessions is an option, I would recommend that. Although I know they can be pricey! I was very lucky that my work private health insurance covered it. But it really made a big difference - the exercises she taught me were very tailored and a lot more complex than the standard NHS Squeezy app pelvic floor squeezes.

If you have private insurance definitely give it a go! It made a huge difference to me. As I understand it, it’s well worth doing both for any future pregnancies and for later in life (especially post menopause) when symptoms might show up.
