Sorry for nice topic, but persistent diarrhea at 38 weeks - does it matter?

Have had a 'loose' tummy now for a good few days - am 16 days off EDD. Everything seems to be going through me pretty quickly.

No other symptoms at all, so don't think it's the clearing-out-bowels-before-labour-begins thing. And don't have swollen feet or anything - someone said it could indicate pre-eclampsia.

Any thoughts?

It could be the start of labour.

Can you call your midwife so she can reaaure you ?

Thanks guys. I'm confident it's not the start of labour. No other symptoms of that at all and it's been going on for a few days. Did a bit of Googling, and someone else had this for 3 weeks before labour. Her doc put it down to a change in hormones gearing up for labour, which sounds reasonable.

Cheers for the help though x

Sounds like getting ready 4 labour 2 me but make sure u have some diorlyte to stop dehydration etc

i had this, after a reflexology session which was meant to bring on labour - instead massive runniness

it stopped for about 2 or 3 days and then labour proper started - make sure you keep hydrated and rested
