you really need to take advice from the people who know your anatomy and the rest of your medical history (either current obstetrician or gynaecologist - they should be making the referral if they think it's outside the skillset in the hospital you're currently booked at). Fibroids in pregnancy aren't uncommon - most surgeons would be able to deal with them. What's probably just as/more important as the surgeon for people with difficult anatomy/pathology though is the support services in the hospital (inc blood bank/HDU, possibly the presence of gynae-oncology surgeons and interventional radiology if it really is that tricky, NHS rather than private).

thabks for this. Why would radiology be needed please?

they can do procedures to help reduce intraoperative bleeding. Most commonly used for the invasive placentas but could possibly be an application for other things that increase the risk of bleeding. As above though, if you're currently pregnant you should take your obstetrician's advice (they may not think it's that big a deal if they haven't mentioned anything already) and if you're still at the planning stage then ditto with your gynaecologist.
