How early did you have to go in to bed induced for VBAC?

I am having a VBAC after a failure to progress labour and have been advised that I will be brought in early for a balloon induction.

My brothers wedding is 5 days before our due date and I'm freaking wet will miss it!

You can say no to an induction. It is always your choice. Is there any other indication for induction?

@CrunchySnow I have zero issues getting an induction and am happy to follow medical advice.

Labour so soon after a C-section I would rather be monitored throughout.

Please don't be disheartened if it doesn't work - I tried VBAC after my failure to progress (which had been induced), and the induction failed again (mind you, I'd been having contractions for over a week with no progression, so I don't know why I was surprised it didn't work) and I ended up with an EMCS again...

When I rang the Maternity unit about it all, they brought me in the night before and induced me in the morning (EMCS just after lunch) - although my times are a bit foggy as I was rather distracted!

TBH, I regretted not just doing a c-section from the off.. I know they say every labour is different, but TBH, I think the failure to progress was a clue the first time (baby never descended and my cervix didn't dilate at all)

I was induced at 14 days past my EDD. I pushed back on suggestions to be induced earlier.

VBAC is far more likely to be successful if you go into spontaneous labour.

I'd avoid the induction, especially before you're at term.

Did your cervix dilate at all in your last pregnancy?

Why did you have the LSCS?

I was told I ABSOLUTELY couldn't go overdue. I went in 5 times to have my waters broken, only to be sent home. Ended up being 40 + 9. Waters broken, labour started an hour ir so later. Avoided anything else.
