Struggling with recovery. Forceps and vacuum

My little miracle is 5 weeks old buy boy am I struggling with pp recovery.
I had forceps and vacuum delivery with episiotomy / 2nd degree teat. While I finally feel the discomfort and pain on outside is fine now, I'm really struggling with the discomfort on inside.
I'm still having a pressure like discomfort when I sit down on my vagina and again alot of discomfort when I cough, sneeze , blow my nose ect. Inside just doesn't feel right. I still feel very swollen or something inside. While the pain hs definitely decreased, first few weeks were unbearable, my health visitor concerned me a little as she mentioned I should be healing up by now and that was 2 weeks ago. I've got a appointment for physiotherapy in few weeks time.
Anyone been in a similar situation?any advice regarding recovery?
I'm feeling like this is never going to feel normal.
Consultant assured me recovery from vaginal birth would be easy. This feels the furthest thing from easy

Vaginal birth recovery is easy but not when you have had an episiotmy - forceps and vacuum etc.

This is why it is so important to birth in upright posiitons and not on your back. I had a friend who had 4th degree tear and instrumental birth and it took her 9 months to recover.

The best thing you can do it kegals - and cool pads for inflammation. Your Gp should see you at 6/8 weeks PP for a check. They can examine you and see if all is well inside.

Hi, I had the same minus vacuum. I had no idea I had pelvic organ prolapse. This went on for a year until I finally went to the GP. I assumed it would just get better and it did not! I was referred for gyno physio and within 6 months I made so much progress.

Thanks for your replies. I've been referred to physio . I'm now 8 weeks PP and while pain has definitely decreased I'm still not feeling right . I still have some tenderness, pain and we just resumed sexual intercourse and I couldn't feel it so the numbness is something I will address with the physio to see if there's possible nerve damage
