term + 12 or 14
unless medically indicated sooner

minster · 10/04/2008 19:23

term+12

Onlyaphase · 10/04/2008 19:24

term + 10 here. Though you can talk them into term +12 if you ask nicely

nappyaddict · 10/04/2008 19:25

Not sure, i saw consultant at 41 wks and was induced the next day as i requested as i was in so much pain i could barely move.

are you asking on behalf of someone , nappy? do they have a particular worry or concern?

inductions done before the body is ready, i.e with a low sbishops score, tend to take longer and more chance of ending with instrumental or c.s delivery. that is more often the case with earlier induction, i.e before the due date, especially with a primip, ime.

yes a friend who has spd was wondering how early she would be able to have one. shes 38+5 atm.

depends on the severity , some cons. won;t use it as a reason for induction, some will. depends on how painful
bearing in mind if she is induced, she might not be able to move as much to more comfier positions as she will be encouraged to have more monitoring
www.pelvicpartnership.org has good info re SPD
