C section recovery - moving house

Hi all

so I am due a C section in less than a week and also need to move house asap due to being in catchment for a terrible school and wanting to move next to the best school in time for October applications.

Long story short - there was a goodchance we could get into another more remote school without moving house but this is now looking dicey and we don’t want to take any risks.

weve spoken to estate agent who will put us on market straight away… I’m wondering advice from those who have had a c section - will I be okay to sit in car whilst viewers look round? Will I be okay mentally and still bond with baby and enjoy the newborn period? I’m quite anxious about it all and have an older child too. however I don’t want to leave it and find we can’t sell in time.

thanks in advance!

I had two elective c sections. I was 39 and 40 when I had them and was good both times. So long as you are not lifting heavy stuff you should be fine.
Good luck with the baby and the move

Do you know how house sales work? If you're due a c-section in a week and the house isn't on the market yet this is surely a non-problem?

And why on earth would you sit in the car? I stayed in my house when people came around to view.

You seem overly anxious OP, even if you did sit in a car (for what 30 minutes tops) it's hardly going to affect bonding with the baby.

I think it's one of those 'you just get on with it and make it work' situations...
