What's the realistic list of stuff to take with you to the hospital currently 35weeks n just thought I should get around to packing my hospital bag now 😂😂

Congratulations! Loads of lists out there which will help. I recommend a dark coloured towel and some lip balm. Also I packed outfits for baby into individual zip lock bags which was so much easier for me and my husband.

Best of luck x

Things I used: I didn't use anything during labour as I was induced so not allowed to eat or drink anything other than water, I changed into a nightie and did use some maternity pads as my waters were leaking a lot.
Afterwards I changed into a nightie with buttons for feeding, used tena lady incontinence pants, phone charger, lansinoh nipple cream, lip balm, snacks, slippers, flip flops, toiletries, big joggers to go home and breastfeeding top and hoody
For the baby I used: short sleeved vest and sleepsuits maybe X2, nappies, water wipes, muslin for drying bottom, cellular blanket, long sleeved vest and going home sleepsuit I'd chosen before hand, hat and cardigan

I took but didn't use: more muslins, more baby outfits, breast pads, dressing gown, ear phones, ready made milk

Pack your own pain relief - parcetamol/ibuprofen - I found with all three of my births that midwives were so busy I was often waiting a while for pain relief. In the event of a C-section it’s handy to have.
Extra long phone charger cable - plugs are always miles from bed.
Good luck!

Snacks are essential. Even if nill by mouth as in that case, you'll be ravenous after.

I got heavy flow period pants to use with maternity pads after birth! Were brilliant for catching any leaks when pads needed changing and worked so well postpartum too! Made me feel so much more secure.

That's a really good tip. Wasn't offered any pain relief at all after having DC1 and I'd had an episiotomy. Had to shuffle to the desk on the end and beg for paracetamol.

Flash wipes for the bathroom/toilet in case you need them and some flip flops that's you can wear in the bathroom.

And snacks! I found the portions to be tiny.

If you're thinking of BFing at all I'd also put the Breastfeeding Helpline Numbers in your phone, just in case you've got a query whilst you're in there Wink
