My 2nd labour was much longer and more painful! Actual delivery easier tho.

My second was much easier. I coped better with contractions and felt much more in control of the situation. Delivery was easier and no stitches second time round!

my 2nd baby was very good 7 hours from first twinges to him being born,10 mins of pushing stage

im on baby 7 now i really think you have to be positive, have a good state of mind
do not be scared go with your body breathe throught the pain and work together you and your baby
its a known fact fear makes it worse.
have someone with you that kind of knows what you want and if you are not happy say so
my baby is due in july and im very nervous even though i know what i have to do.
my first baby was 14 hours
2nd 7 hours
3rd baby 1 hour
4th was different he was ill so cant compare
5th so easy
6th was induced so cant compare but i will never be induced again
this one im going to be ready no medical interventions,i dont even allow them to examine me.but we all have differetn views on this
i wish you good luck wont be long now soon you will have your baby
just go with it these babies know what to do.
keep us posted

Hi - I've had three babies, 2nd labour was much quicker than the 1st (3rd labour was the same length but so much more painful, think the baby was back to back until just before the birth). I agree that after pains much, much worse - but back then you either couldn't take ibuprofen or I wasn't told. With the third I was told I could take ibuprofen (and did) and what a difference that made, after pains no where near as bad as after second baby, and they do get worse with each one.

Very best of luck - just think of that delicious little baby you'll be holding soon
