I got out of hospital after 5 days post section with both my children. We walked short distances to our local area and built on that. Don't be too careful, push yourself a little (but not too much, feel your body) and just slowly build up your strength and capabilities again.
The worst thing I found was the bleeding to be honest, rather than the wound but everyone is different, hence listening to your body. Do get active quickly ... don't lay in bed / sit on the chair all day because you're advised to be active (within reason) and not fester

Worth adding that I found it a lot easier to walk with the buggy than solo. Having something to sort of prop myself up on was helpful.

I could manage a 10 minute walk after about 6 weeks.

My ds was sent neonatal unit so I was up and about walking within 24 hours to get to him. My first dog walk was after 7 days.

Only you will know how you feel and you limitations

I had an ECLS which went well with no complications and less than average blood loss. I was walking around the hospital after 48 hours, including flights of stairs, when DS landed in NICU.

I walked 2.5 miles around the block about a week after the CS but was a bit sore afterwards and didn’t do it again for a few days.

I was back running by week 8, with no problems, starting with a couple of kilometres.

I was up and about within 24 hours of both c-sections and with baby #1 in the supermarket (about a 10 minute walk) when he was 7 days old. I didn't carry the shopping home though.

I was doing the school run for DS when DD was a tiny newborn - probably also from about a week old and about a 15 minute walk each way.
