VBAC after two sections

I’m only early on but if this all goes ok, I’m thinking about whether to opt for an elective section.
DC 1: induced labour, progressing after 36 hours but then baby got stuck. Had emergency c section under general anaesthetic.
DC2: waters broke early and had emergency section.

If you’ve had two c sections have you opted for a third elective one or tried for VBAC?

I had an emergency c section but also hoping to have a VBAC next time round.

If its been 18 months since your last pregnancy then you can assume you've fully healed and should be a low risk vbac.

I had a VBAC2 after two sections
Section at 42w in labour (big baby too scared to push 5th ivf, not necessary)
VBAC1 fast natural delivery 1.5 hour labour
Section for twins
VBAC2 on due date with fifth baby, spontaneous 5 hour labour. Would have had to have third section if I hadn't delivered by 1pm (consultant appointment on due date) made it with 4 hours to spare

Would I do it again? Probably but I think I only went ahead with my VBACs because of my easy quick deliveries, I wouldn't have considered it with induction or any previous failure to progress.

You need to ask your consultant, not internet randoms

They can do a detailed scan and examination of your scar, look at the notes from your last section and discuss other risk factors with you.

Your weight, age and overall health will be a factor.

And they will not give you any sort of hormonal induction for a VBAC if you go overdue
