40+5. not a single twinge or sign of baby so far.

just been out for dinner. ended with me emptying my bowels in a spectacular fashion in three dif toilets in bars in south west london. lots of horrible gripping pain. if i wasnt preg, i'd assume a violent but brief attack of food poisoning. if i hadnt cleared my bowels like that, i'd be thinking these horrific pains were contractions.

been ok for twenty min now

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

A good clear out is usually the start of things, good luck you may be on your way

DumbledoresGirl · 29/02/2008 22:20

Hmmmm, the body does sometimes empty itself prior to labour. Not empty completely - no vital organs - but diarrhoea or vomiting often herald labour.

Anyway, if it was the food you had just eaten that was poisoned, you would be sick surely?

I think you might be starting! Good luck!

If it is, at least you've got rid of it all in advance!

Good luck!

I had a big clearout with all three labours on the day I went into labour.

Sounds like you are on your way. Good luck.

Is this your first?

Better out than in. Get some rest. You may have a very busy weekend ahead of you

tyaca · 29/02/2008 22:27

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Tyaca - you probably don't feel like it though - full of nervous excitement instead? A warm bath, a milky drink if you can stand to do it may knock you out. Believe me, if you stay up 24 hours and then try and have a baby it's bloody hard work and frequently doesn't go well.

madamez · 29/02/2008 22:36

A good bout of the shits is usually a sign that something's about to happen. Good luck. You might have a BABY by morning
