C Section Pain

I had a c section nearly 4 years ago, it went smoothly and the scar healed well but I am still getting sharp pains on one side. It's not constant, but will often come on when I'm sitting down and lean forward, and will then stay painful after I move. It is the same spot that was excruciatingly painful in the first few days after the operation, and I've been patiently waiting for no more pain but now 4 years on I'm wondering if this is it for the rest of my life. Could this be nerve damage? Has anyone else had this and did it ever go away?

This was my second baby, the first was born naturally, and I haven't ruled out a third but I'm worried if I were to get pregnant again it would make the pain worse.

I had a section for my first and didn’t have this at all, all healed well. I did have the stinging etc in the early days but nothing major. Second time round and I’m still in the early days but the level of pain I’ve had (all from one side) has been on another level. I was actually crying on the phone to my midwife asking if there was anything else I could take. I’m worrying this could be nerve damage as it was (still is on and off) the most intense burning pain that’s got to be nerve pain. It seems if they tie it off tighter at one side it can affect nerve endings and cause this problem. I’d say get it investigated before getting pregnant again but hopefully it wouldn’t cause you more pain

Oh that sounds a lot like the pain I had in the early days which I thought was normal as I had nothing to compare it to, but that's interesting to hear you didn't have it with your first.
