I had my baby 6 months ago. He was 2 months premature and spent 6 weeks in hospital. It was very stressful. I had conspitation during pregnancy but since I gave birth my bowel movements have changed again. Sorry for TMI but my poo is softer, there is more of it, I need to go more often and I need to go more urgently. I went to the Dr's a month after my baby was born and my Dr told me there was nothing to worry about. My baby then came home and I've been super busy ever since so haven't really thought about it, but over the last few weeks I've had to go to toilet more often and my tummy feels gurgly and windy. I have been to the Dr again and am having tests but I was wondering whether anyone else has experienced similar change in bowel movements after giving birth. Thank you xx

How did you deliver? Vaginally? Did you receive any stitches etc x

Could be the lack of sleep. Causes IBS symptoms for me

Lack of sleep and/or stress

I was worried I had cancer (bloated, weird bowel movements) and it turned out to the coeliac disease. I almost cried of happiness when they told me because I was so convinced I had cancer!!

do push for further investigations but bear in mind it can be other things than cancer

Why automatically think it’s cancer? It could be anything. You’re having tests so wait for the outcome of those.

Thanks, I delivered vaginally and had one small stitch.

Yes good point! Because I automatically imagine the worse case scenario.
