Caesarean after 2 pph's

Hello all, I've had two vaginal births so far, both very different to one another but both ended with pph requiring blood transfusion within a week post birth, neither required it at the time of the birth.
I'm pregnant with number 3 and I'm getting worried about another pph, I've got two kids to stick around for and a third on the way and I'm worried about dying if I'm honest.

The first birth my hb level got very low, down to 64, I'm not medical so I don't know exactly what that means but I'm told it's pretty close to organ failure.

Did anyone get advised to have a caesarean after delayed pph? They reckon my uterus just doesn't contract after labour so I just continue to bleed. They gave me drugs to help last time but I still ended up needing the transfusion.

The recovery of caesarean isn't appealing but it's safer right?

I’d push to see a consultant (if you haven’t already been referred).

I had a PPH after my first and I’m sure when I was researching options for my second, I read that the risk of PPH is actually increased with a caesarean. But I’m sure there are other things they could do to manage it better.

Thank you @sunrisechurch , I'll ask to see a consultant, I'm 20 weeks now so it's still early to talk about birth but it's weighing on my mind now. I saw that it was a higher risk potentially too but wondered if that was an immediate pph rather than delayed. To be honest, I only had my last one in November so there hasn't been enough time last for me to forget the pain! I'm dreading it!!
