Do I really need to take my own towels to hospital???

Am packing my hospital bag, and see that on the hospital's checklist it says towels. I had my 2 DSs at Chelsea and Westminster, and I'm SURE they gave me towels to use, but this time will be at Colchester General. Do I really need to take my own? Bag is huge already!

I had a big suitcase (on wheels), when I had dds, everyone at my antenatal class, thought it was hilarious, but you had to take towels, tons of sanitary towels (maybe that was just me, a load of nappies, baby blanket, etc. I also took big thing of cleaning wipes, and anti bac gel - I guess even if the hospital is a clean one (mine wasn't), whoever uses the toilet/bathroom before you might not be that hygenic. A woman who had used the shower before me had left smears of blood all over the floor, toilet seat and wall.

MN tip that i used last time, was dark coloured towels and flip flops for shower and bathroom floor.

my hospital didnt offer towels.
