Hey all,

I had my baby 9 months ago and since then had nothing but issues with my bowels.

I keep getting pressure on my anus and i can feel the skin tag i have developed especially when walking!!! The doctor gave me laxido and flybegel as i was conspitation 4x times a day (laxido) which i have come off and I'm having investigation work with a camera the day before i go back to work. Has anyone had a similar issue?

I'm always in pain! And my doctors don't have a clue, i haven't had a nice maternity as i have been in pain non stop.

have you seen a Pelvic Floor physio? Any problems with toileting could be pelvic floor related… I found one using the directory on the Squeezy app and she was a godsend! Definitely worth at least a consultation

I do this every day although it's painful because of the skin tag.

Could be a prolapse. Absolutely terrible care in the U.K. post partum for a very common issue. Other countries provide it as standard. See if you can find a specialist and don't give up

I had a failed induction which process to birth and then had a c section.. can that still happen? Would i know?

It would be nice to wake up and not be in pain!

No advice, but I hope you get an answer after your scan.

I believe so - I would assume that any dilation at all would disrupt the pelvic floor. And so much of the body changes are hormonal anyways… definitely worth giving a physio a ring and seeing if it’s worth getting an appointment

Surley that wouldn't affect my ability to walk, sit or lie down?

I don’t know but someone I know had awful back problems during pregnancy and saw an osteo/chiropractor for backs and it didn’t help and it turned out it was a pelvic floor issue

I’m so sorry you’ve been putting up with this. The only embarrassment that should be felt is on the part of the UK’s abysmal maternity and post-natal care of women.

Please be polite but demanding, ask for a referral from
your GP, research physios and gynaes who specialise in post partum injuries. We are too ready to accept we should “be grateful” for our healthy babies and put up with treatable pain and injuries 💐

Thank you all! My drs have said it's piles, anal fissure, piles, then fissure they don't have a clue. I'm guessing the camera i have will let me either way!
