Losing mucus plug at 32 weeks pregnant

Around this time last night, I started to experience mild cramping in the lower part of my stomach. This feeling did not last and went away on its own, so I thought nothing much of it. Then later on, I used the toilet and wiped and there was a slippery feeling as I did so, so I looked and saw a sticky mucus like substance an off white yellow colour - did some research and I am sure it's partially the mucus plug that I wiped. The next time I used the toilet it happened again. So looking online it's been advised to contact midwife (I've just texted them) and seek advice as I'm only 32 weeks pregnant. Has anyone ever experienced this so early? I had a baby about 13 months ago so maybe my cervix is still quite open and sensitive.

I think contacting midwife is a good move. I had to go into hospital when this happened. My waters broke shortly after followed by labour.

So long as your waters are intact, and you aren't contracting, I wouldn't overly worry. Losing your mucus plug happens, and it grows back. I lost mine, or at least large parts of it, multiple times throughout my first pregnancy.

I lost mine twice in my pregnancy and was told not to worry and it would just grow back. I'm now 38 weeks and blooming wishing I would lose it again but it seems to be staying put 😂😂 it's always good to speak to midwife if your worried so you've done the right thing x

Try not to worry, OP. I was born in the 50s at 32 weeks before incubators and I'm still alive and kicking.

It might be absolutely fine they can grow back. If ur not having pains, can feel baby moving and waters haven't gone then I wouldn't call anyone.

I lost mine at 37wks and had to be induced at 41wks. I lost it with my second also around 37wks although this time there was much more of it, absolutely disgusting 🤢 and my waters broke that night.

This is exactly how my labour started at 36 weeks. I'd get yourself checked out at maternity assessment just incase.

Sorry to jump in! Im currently 35+1, had a positive ffn last week (I know they aren't very reliable) and the past 2 days I've been losing my mucus plug (no blood- very clear). Just wondering if it's a cause for concern? I'm booked in for csection in a few weeks but just wondering if this has happened to someone else and they ended up in labour? How long did it take for labour to start? Love hearing others stories x
